Started over 2005, 3 Little Rocks is a one-man band project, driving through electro-acoustic, ambiant and polyphonic music. Developped upon his visual art practices, Yohann Walter is leading this project in resonance with his writing activity and as a necessary answer to his picture works. The concept of this sound was born of a series of photographies and short stories he wrote, each one serving as a springboard for the music. Self-recorded voices, noises and instruments are tools to explore how a musical idea can evoke or fathom landscapes and sceneries. Each album is like a pillow book, collected snatches of life and time, simply surrounding us everyday.
